Thanks to a most generous gift from Laurence Korn in honor of our great men’s coach, John Whitlinger, and the incredible work of our technological guru – J.R. Keenan of Intelligence, Inc. - over the past year we were able to turn our dream of an all-weather touch screen monitor chronicling many highlights of Stanford tennis into a reality. This is located at the main entrance to our stadium, and many of you have taken a few moments to view several of the hundreds and hundreds of hours of video content archived in this Kiosk. Now all of this material can also be accessed on the Web by clicking on the hyperlink above. (If you enjoy this, be sure to bookmark the site). The contents are meant to be historical in nature, and are divided into the three following main categories:

  1. Stanford Players in Pro competition (men & women) – 33 players, most available in multiple matches.
  2. Stanford Collegians (Various NCAA Team Championships, NCAA Individual Championships, Pac 10 Championships, ITA Championships and several televised  team and individual matches played at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium).
  3. Special Presentations (Stanford’s NCAA Men’s Champions, Pro Events at Taube, Pro’s in the Open Era, Recruiting Videos, Special Interviews, Music Videos, and Instructional Videos).

These are all “home videos” collected over the last 40 years, and thus the quality of the product varies greatly. Content can be added as new data is captured. We hope you enjoy this unique and fantastic offering.

It was a great summer of play which saw Nicole Gibbs reach the final of the girls 18 Nationals and the semifinal of the US Open junior singles and doubles. Recent grad Hilary Barte, junior Stacey Tan and sophomores Kristie Ahn and Gibbs all played at the Bank of the West pro event here in July as well.

Later in October we will be hosting the USTA/ITA Regional’s where 17 teams will be on display from the 21st-25th.

And finally this fall we will be returning to the Orchid Hotel on the Big Island from Nov. 20-27th. There is still space open in the clinic.  If interested please contact Lele asap!

We would like to welcome freshman Ellen Tsay of Pleasanton to our team!

New Additions:
We are very pleased that John Morrissey (Dublin, Ireland), Robert Stineman (Winnetka, IL), and Georgy Zerkalov (Moscow, Russia) will be joining the team. We’re looking forward to their contributions the next four years.

Alex Clayton, Greg Hirshman, and Ted Kelly have graduated. Because of injuries, Jamie Hutter has left the team. They all made significant contributions in their years on the team, and they certainly will be missed. We wish them well in their future endeavors.

Over the summer there were some good results on the court. Bradley Klahn was a practice partner for the Davis Cup Team in Austin, TX when they played Spain. He also had some excellent results in Future/Challenger tournaments. He lost in the final round of qualifying for the US Open.

Hawaii Thanksgiving Week (Nov. 20-26) We will be going to the Kohala Coast on the Big Island this year. We will be playing our match against Hawaii at the Fairmont Orchid Hotel. We always look forward to this week. Contact Lele Forood if you are interested in the trip.

We look forward to seeing you at our matches beginning in January. Thank you for all your support over the years.  Follow us at
